Kia announced on the 15th (Wednesday) that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with Hankook Tire on the supply of tires for certified used cars at the brand experience center ‘Kia 360’ on the 14th (Tuesday).
On this day, an agreement ceremony was held with key officials including Kia Vice President Kwon Hyuk-ho and Hankook Tire's Korea Business Division Head Park Jong-ho in attendance, and it was decided to establish a tire supply cooperation system to provide high-quality certified used cars.
Through this agreement, Kia will install Hankook Tire's main brand products on vehicles that require tire replacement during the process of purchasing and commercializing used cars.
Passenger cars and SUVs are each equipped with Hankook Tire's all-season balance tire Kinergy ST AS and on-road SUV tire Dynapro HL3. The representative electric vehicle model EV6 will be equipped with tires that take into account the type and performance of the vehicle, such as the electric vehicle-specific tire Aion Evo AS, and the high-performance sports sedan Stinger will be equipped with ultra-high performance tires Ventus V12 Evo 2.
A Kia official said, “The purpose of this business agreement is to supply vehicles in the best condition to customers who purchase vehicles in line with the direction of Kia’s certified used car business,” and added, “If tires need to be replaced during the commercialization process, new products supplied by Hankook Tire will be installed.” “We will increase customer satisfaction,” he said.
