“Will it really be successful?” Kia’s new EV6 design preview
After spy shots of the Kia EV6 facelift model were recently captured, highly complete predictions are being released. EV6 is the Kia brand’s first dedicated electric vehicle developed based on E-GMP. It features both a crossover-style sophisticated design and practicality.
The EV6 facelift model, unveiled by Carscoops, an overseas automobile media outlet, was produced based on the latest Kia design. The overall layout maintains the crossover style of the existing EV6, and the front headlamp is equipped with Kia Star Map signature lighting style daytime running lights.
The overall lamp style is similar to the design of the previously released Kia EV4 concept car, but looking at the lamp in the recently captured spy shot, the EV6's lamp is expected to undergo significant changes. Additionally, a new wheel with a triangular geometric pattern was applied.
The interior of the Kia EV6 facelift model has not been confirmed to date, but changes to the infotainment system have been announced. Kia's latest models are equipped with the ccNC system and are equipped with many of the latest specifications, such as wireless software updates and video streaming.
The powertrain is expected to be the same as before. The current model is equipped with a 77.4kWh lithium-ion battery based on the long range model, and can drive up to 475km based on the rear-wheel drive model. In the case of the new model, an increase in driving range is expected through improved efficiency.
A facelift model of the high-performance EV6 GT model is also scheduled to be released one after another. The EV6 GT has a maximum output of 584 horsepower and a maximum torque of 75.5 kg.m, and only 3.5 seconds are sufficient to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h.
Meanwhile, the launch of the Kia EV6 facelift model is known to be as early as the middle of next year, and the price is expected to increase slightly due to improved marketability.
